About YPG

Whether you are pregnant and planning for that big day or a new parent wondering what to do first, there is so much to think about.

I mean, the questions….the lack of sleep…the pure beautiful raw chaos in every single moment. Right?

Rest assured, there is someone who gets it.

Hi! I’m Jessica Strickland, Your Postpartum Guide, and my passion is helping families navigate one of the most exciting (and sometimes a little overwhelming) times in their life. For over five years, I’ve been sharing my expertise on anything and everything postpartum with families who know what they want but just need that little something extra to make bringing home a baby as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

When you hire me, you let me know exactly what you need. If you don’t know, that’s ok! We’ll figure it out together. Whether it’s making a postpartum plan for once baby is home, setting up a nursery that fits your lifestyle or getting a few nights of well-deserved rest while your little one is cared for by a professional – I’m here!

profilepicI live in Colorado Springs, Colorado but am an Indiana Hoosier at heart. My husband, daughter and I packed up and moved from Indiana to Colorado in 2014 and have yet to look back. I enjoy road trips (much to the dismay of my frequent flyer daughter), camping, hiking, photography, collecting and obsessing over anything Mid Century Modern and fixing up our new to us home. I’m a former gymnast and collegiate tennis player and enjoy staying active now by practicing Capoeira and trying any activity that will allow me to flip upside down — most recently aerial silks! You can follow along on my personal adventures over on Instagram @flippindoula.

prodoula-certified-postpartum-badgeI am a ProDoula certified Postpartum Doula and a Newborn Care Specialist. I began my journey as an entrepreneur in 2010 after leaving a career in non-profit marketing. I volunteer my time with Postpartum Progress, Inc. as a Climb Out of the Darkness coordinator and am also a Colorado State Co-Coordinator with Postpartum Support International, Inc.
